There is something about watching movie trailers. They are entertaining and they generate curiosity by giving you just the right amount of information about a film - not too much, not too less. As a matter of fact, there are times when the movie trailers are works of art, superior than the film itself.
A good trailer leaves us with a collective sense of: "Wow! I'm going on watch this movie for sure", and also, etches key visuals and dialogues in our minds. The recent array of movie trailer releases did just that and got us pumped about upcoming projects.
From Acharya to Thar and Jayeshbhai Jordaar, here's a curation of the impressive lineup of new movie trailers that were launched recently.
1. Acharya
April 12, 2022, saw the launch of megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s Acharya. True to the film’s genre, the trailer promises an action-packed adventure and drama and, so far, it has garnered more than 15 million views on YouTube. Here, you get to watch the two ace actors fight for a cause and rescue a village. Acharya also stars Pooja Hegde and Sonu Sood, and it will be released on April 29, 2022.

2. Jayeshbhai Jordaar
Scheduled to release on May 13, 2022, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s much-awaited film Jayeshbhai Jordaar seems to be a hit already. Its trailer was released last week and it showed Ranveer’s character Jayeshbhai standing up against a problematic society. Shedding his larger-than-life personality, here, Ranveer steps into a character that is more of a boy-next-door – a person who must overcome his fears for the sake of his daughter, and fight against the issues of misogyny, female foeticide, and gender disparity in the society and his family.

3. Thar
Starring father-son duo Harshvarrdhan Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik, Thar's trailer covers so much ground in just a short span of time. From an introduction to the characters and even manages to leave us curious about the mystery behind what looks like a straightforward murder case. It’s engaging, has powerful dialogues, and sets the mood of the film just right.

4. Nayika Devi: The Warrior Queen
A Gujarati film, this historical drama is set in the 12th century and tells the untold story of Naiki (Nayika) Devi, the Queen of Gujarat, who not only ruled Patan for years but also defeated the mighty Muhammad Ghori on the battlefield. The film features actors Khushi Shah, Manoj Joshi, Chunky Pandey, and Chirag Jani as leads.

5. Thor: Love and Thunder
The action-packed Thor: Love and Thunder trailer shows Thor going on a journey of self-discovery and gives a peek into traumatic instances of his past that took a toll on him. You also get to see a quick homage to a particularly sad moment from The Avengers: Infinity War. Watch the full trailer to find out what this exact moment was and how is the homage paid.

6. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 trailer got released on YouTube on April 26, 2022, and has garnered a lot of attention over the internet, especially because of the all-new lead cast including Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu. You get to hear the beautiful (yet horror-inducing) voice of Manjulika yet again. How did she return? How are they going to get rid of her this time? And so many more questions are coming to the fore.
