Missed the concert craze in 2024? Well, here’s a heads-up! We have listed all the popular music festivals around the world that you need to witness once in your life! From Coachella to Glastonbury, this is the ultimate music festival list you need!

Untold, a Romanian megafest, debuted in 2015—the same year that Cluj-Napoca, in Transylvania, the event's home—was declared the European Youth Capital—making it relatively young in comparison to some of the other top events on our list. Untold makes up for its short running time with its many other strengths. Over four days and nights, the first festival attracted more than 240,000 attendees; however, in 2023, Untold attracted an unprecedented 420,000 spectators and 250 performers. Headline acts in 2023 included Martin Garrix, David Guetta, ZHU, Amelie Lens, and Armin van Buuren, who is a regular at Untold and is known for his unique performances at the festival. His sets have been epic extended sets in the past, and last year he even brought 300 fans on stage. The event is based around a new mythology and fantasy storyline every year. It is one of the biggest music festival in the world!

Untold is more than just a music festival; it also hosts events that honour Romanian culture via cuisine and arts and crafts, runs initiatives to get people to donate blood and award good students with free tickets, and, as of last year, has a brand new, environmentally friendly main stage that runs on renewable energy.

With an astounding 731,742 hashtags, Glastonbury is one of the best music festivals in the world! With over 100 stages showcasing cutting-edge performances in music, dance, comedy, drama, circus, cabaret, and more, this five-day festival is well-known; in fact, tickets for the 2019 edition sold out in just three hours. You may expect to hear some of the biggest names in music, including Stormzy, Kylie, Miley, Kamasi, and a slew of others (who may or may not rhyme), if you were fortunate enough to get festival tickets. Parklife, Wireless, Creamfields, Reading and Leeds Fest, and Fforest Gather in Wales are among the other well-known festivals in the United Kingdom.

When it comes to popular music festivals, Coachella is right up there with the best of them. Its star-studded roster is sure to be a big lure for fans. Live performances of pop, rock, hip hop, independent, and electronic dance music fill the three-day weekends of the California event. In 1999, Rage Against the Machine and Tool were the festival's first headlining acts. Since then, Coachella has featured performances by some of the biggest names in music, including Guns N' Roses, Drake, Coldplay, Prince, Jay-Z, Gorillaz, Kanye West, ACDC, Calvin Harris, Radiohead, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Eminem, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and countless more. It was estimated that 750,000 people attended the music event in 2022 by HITC.

Since its inception in 1997, the Fuji Rock Festival has drawn music enthusiasts from all around the world. It is one of the best international musical festivals in the world!  With performances by more than 200 local and international artists, it is the largest festival in Japan. Iconic acts such as SZA, Kraftwerk, Noel Gallagher, and Girl in Red will grace the major stages in 2024. Known for its three days of music and set in the picturesque Naeba Ski Resort, this event attracts over 100,000 people every year while also striving to be as environmentally conscious as possible.

Rock and metal music lovers travel from all over the world, including Europe, to attend Download Festival in the world-renowned Donington Park. Known for its ferocity, Download allows fans to see both established and emerging rock and metal artists perform live. For those who are deeply immersed in rock culture, the festival's location and devoted fan base provide an intimate community experience. One of the top music festivals in the world, Weezer, Bullet For My Valentine, Jimmy Eat World, Don Broco, Spiritbox, Sex Pistols with Frank Carter, The Darkness, and McFly will all be performing, in addition to Green Day, Sleep Token, and Korn as headlining acts.

Ultra started out as a one-day event on Miami Beach in 1999, drawing over 10,000 people. Next year, it will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a new iteration. More than 150,000 people go every year now, and it's a worldwide phenomenon and one of the top music festivals in the world! One of the defining characteristics of the Miami festival is its location, where attendees can enjoy world-class nightlife while taking in breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay and the city's skyline. Key components of the event's production value include elaborate stage designs, spectacular light displays, and cutting-edge audiovisual equipment. Over the years, Ultra has hosted some of the biggest names in electronic dance music (EDM), including Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and Tiësto. The 2008 UMF Ultra Worldwide editions expanded the festival's reach to major cities worldwide, creating a global community of Ultra aficionados. The festival has since hosted events in São Paulo, Tokyo, Johannesburg, Sydney, Buenos Aires, and several more.

Primavera Sound Barcelona is well-known for its carefully selected roster of electronic, indie, and rock musicians. Music lovers seeking new sounds love it since it features both established artists and up-and-coming musicians. The festival's urban location in Barcelona enhances its allure; stages dot the city's venues and the coastline, resulting in an energetic but laid-back ambience. Headliners Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter will be performing at Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025, which is scheduled to be held at Parc del Fòrum from June 5 to 7. Floating Points, Beach House, Sturgill Simpson, Haim, Jamie xx, Fontaines D.C., Turnstile, ANOHNI and the Johnsons are also on the bill. Notable performers include FKA twigs, which was cancelled last year, and Cat Power, who will be performing Bob Dylan's music. Throughout the week, the festival will bring performances to several locations throughout Barcelona.

Located in Grant Park in downtown Chicago, Lollapalooza has been delivering a diverse array of musical artists to the city for many years. One of the most popular music festivals, in the world! It draws in a huge crowd from all over the world because of its roster which includes rock, hip-hop, pop, and electronic dance music. Musicians aren't the only things festivalgoers may enjoy; the culinary and artistic offerings are also noteworthy. Green Day, Glass Animals, Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Timberlake, Alanis Morissette, Tool, and Rüfüs Du Sol are among the rumoured headliners, while the exact roster is still a mystery.

With a full week of concerts, art exhibits, and cultural activities, Roskilde is one of the longest-running and popular music festivals in Europe. It is unlike any other music festival since it is both socially conscious and founded as a non-profit, with all proceeds going towards cultural and humanitarian purposes. There is a welcoming community vibe, participatory art, and music from many different genres for those who attend.
