In a world where love stories often follow a script, actress Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal wrote their own, which is one of steadfast commitment and fortitude. Despite her stage 3 breast cancer treatment ongoing, Hina Khan made the decision to celebrate life and get married to her long-time lover, Rocky Jaiswal, in a private ceremony. The union was a beautiful reminder of how, despite the most difficult obstacles in life, their love is a monument to the strength of unwavering dedication.
For the uninitiated, Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal had met on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where she played the role of Akshara and ended up becoming a household name. The actress then went on to do many big parts like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Big Boss, and even films like Lines. The couple also made an appearance on Celebrity Masterchef, where they announced that they would soon tie the knot.
On the stage of Masterchef, Hina Khan has also talked about how then beau, and now husband, Rocky Jaiswal has been her strength through her cancer treatment. Sharing her pictures, Hina wrote on social media, “From two different worlds, we built a universe of love. Our differences faded, our hearts aligned, creating a bond to last lifetimes. We are our home, our light, our hope and together, we transcend all barriers. Today, our union is forever sealed in love and law. We seek your Blessings and Wishes as Wife and Husband.”
Celebs like Ekta Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, and Ankita Lokhande wished the newly married couple all the love, as did Hina Khan’s countless fans. The actress wore a Manish Malhotra opal green handloom saree with a veil, with Hina Khan Rocky Jaiswal’s names beautifully embroidered on a section. Hina Khan’s bridal look was that of an ethereal glowing bride, with her MM drape adorned with silver and gold embroidery and blush pink zari-zardozi lending it a beautiful quality.
The actress also included a note from the designer about her bridal look. Manish Malhotra wrote, “For her nuptials, the radiant Hina Khan @realhinakhan chose our handloom saree in opal green, with gold and silver threads tracing age-old motifs across its weave. A light blush border, embroidered with threadwork and zardozi, framed the drape with quiet intricacy.
Subtle pleated gota detailing added depth to the fabric, while a soft pink veil with a scalloped hem lent a dreamlike finish. On her #MMsaree, her name and her husband’s were delicately embroidered- a personal note stitched into tradition. The look was complemented by imperial heirlooms from @manishmalhotrajewellery.
Alongside, her husband @rockyj1 wore our signature kurta in ecru- understated, timeless, and tailored to the moment.”
