Hailing from the city of Bengaluru in India, Ricky Kej has been nominated for the Grammy 2025 award for Break of Dawn in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category. Ricky Kej had won his first Grammy award in the year 2015 for Winds of Samsara with Woulter Kellerman. An Indian origin artist who has been nominated in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category for her music album named warriors Of Light, this album features Radhika Vekaria’s vocals in numerous languages that includes Sanskrit, Hindi, Tamil and English. This is her second music album, after her 2020 debut album named Sapta: The Seven Ways.
Radhika Vekaria was born in the UK and currently hails from Los Angeles. Her mother and grandmother are also known to be connoisseurs of classical Indian music.
Varijashree Venugopal
A Bengaluru based Indian artist in Grammy Awards who is a vocalist, flutist and a composer, Varijashree Venugopal has earned her very first nomination in the 2025 Grammys. Nominated along with Anoushka Shankar in the Best Global Music Performance category for A Rock Somewhere, Varijashree’s name in the Grammy nomination list surely fills up with great pride.
Chandrika Tandon
Chandrika Tandon is an entrepreneur and an artist who has been nominated for the Best New Age, Ambient, Or Chant Album category for her album, Triveni. This album is a collaborative work of her with flutist Wouter Kellerman and cellist Eru Matsumoto. Chandrika Tandon hails from the city of Chennai and has been trained in music under classical singer, Shubra Guha. She was earlier nominated in 2010 for the Grammy awards for her album Om Namo Narayana: Soul Call.
Noshir Mody
Born in Mumbai, Noshir Mody is another Indian talent to be nominated for the 67th Grammy awards. Nominated under the Best Global Music Performance category for the song, Kashira by Masa Takumi, Noshir has worked on the song along with Ron Korb and Dale Edward Chung. A self taught musician, the Grammy 2025 awards marks his very first nomination.
