The couple were neighbours for the longest time and had mutual friends. Fate did not get them together despite them being in close proximity and sharing the same social circle. They may have met casually but they did not connect deeply. However, when the national lockdown came, things just happened to change. They spent more time at home and interaction started happening. Their connection deepened with their common set of friends as all of them used to share their lockdown experiences. The couple found closeness in these challenging times and their love blossomed from friendship to relationship. As destiny wanted, neighbours became life partners.
It was in 2021 when the pair took to social media to acknowledge their relationship. On Rakul's birthday, he took to social media to express his profound love for her. Before tying the knot, the cute couple had gone to Siddhivinayak temple to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha. They had presented their wedding invitation to the Lord as a gesture of their devotion. The couple had a traditional Sikh ceremony called Anand Karaj, followed by pheras and a Sindhi wedding.
