Dark Matter, the scifi series now streaming on Apple TV+, is filled with mystery and an engaging storyline. A visual adaptation of a popular novel by Blake Crouch, by the same name, Dark Matter seems to be packed with suspense, thrills, and intense drama. The full Dark Matter trailer was dropped by the streaming giant in April, and if the visuals are anything to go by, the audience is in for a ride like never before.

The latest thriller content on Apple TV+, Dark Matter series boasts of a high budget, along with an excellent cast, starring Joel Edgerton, who was last seen in the Netflix production The Stranger, in the lead role with Jennifer Coonelly, who you might remember from her short and impactful role in the 2022 blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick among other projects. In addition to these talented actors, the cast of Dark Matter also includes Jimmi Simpson, Oakes Fegley, and Alice Braga.
Plot of the Dark Matter series
The storyline of Dark Matter centres around the character of Joel Edgerton, who marries a woman he could never have dreamt of, and has a happy family life until one day he mysteriously disappears without a trace. After gaining consciousness, he realises everything around him has changed. Thereafter, when he goes back home, only to find a different woman living there. The story then follows as Joel’s character attempts to seek answers, confused and unaware of what is happening around him.
Dark Matter is a series comprising a total of eight episodes, and is produced by Matt Tolmach Productions, Sony Pictures and Television, and Five Henrys.
