Bite This: Radhika Merchant-Anant Ambani Pre-Wedding Menu To Have 2,500 Dishes

Is a big fat Indian wedding complete without a feast fit for the kings and queens? Regardless of the reason for guests attending a wedding, it goes without saying a significant number of them are always attracted towards the tasty and elaborative food spread that waits for them. Same is the case with the Ambani’s who are sparing no expense in ensuring that the wedding of their youngest son Anant and his long-time fiancée, Radhika Merchant, become one of the grandest and most extraordinary wedding one has ever seen in India.

A royal feast

As per reports floating online about 65 chefs from Indore will be arriving and whipping up a succulent feast for the guests who will be attending the pre-wedding events in Jamnagar. The team of chefs from Jardin Hotel as per speculations will mostly comprise of females and will have one male member. The director of The Jardin Hotel even revealed in a press event that during the three-day festivities, an exciting array of approximately 2,500 dishes will be made. The culinary offerings will include varied range of cuisines from the globe, which includes Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Parsi, and Pan Asian. 

The intricate breakdown of the culinary menu includes an opulent spread of 75 dishes for breakfast, 225 dishes for lunch and an impressive array of around 275 varied types of cuisines for dinner. For those who have an urge for midnight cravings, there will be platonic choices, with a total of 85 items to choose from. The midnight meal would start at midnight and end at 4.00 am, ensuring there is a wide range of tasty options throughout the night. If that was not enough, then there would also be a special Indore Sarafa Food Counter that would have some of the most famous dishes from the country. From kachoris, poha, jalebi, bhutta ka kees, khopra patties, upma; chefs will ensure that an authentic 'Indori' taste is maintained. 

The pre-wedding events of Radhika and Anant would have an illustrious guest list. Names like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates would be present.

Famous Bollywood stars like the Bachchan family, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh will be gracing the event. The entertainment lineup would also have American pop diva Rihanna and Bollywood singer Arijit Singh who would captivate the hearts of the audience with their live performances. The grand festivities will start on March 1 and will be ending on March 3.  The itienary of Radhika and Anant's wedding surely deserves your attention. On the first day which is March 1, 2024, the theme is 'An Evening in Everland' where the guests are expected to wear cocktail attire. On March 2, 2024 one of the events would be 'A Walk on the Wildside' which will be held at Ambani's animal rescue and rehabilitation centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat. 

There is another event on the same day called ‘Mela Rouge’ where guests will participate in different desi activities will take place. Well, on the third day there have been two events lined up called ‘Tusker Trails' and 'Hashtakshar’. ‘Tusker Trails’ will be an outdoor event where guests will be enjoying Jamnagar's beauty. For ‘Hashtakshar’ event, the guests are expected to wear traditional Indian attires.

Why Anant Ambani chose Jamnagar as his pre-wedding venue

“My grandmother is from Jamnagar. My mother has built the whole city. They have built the whole thing brick by brick. I have spent a lot of time here as a child. Mumbai is my home, but my heart is in Jamnagar. My parents and grandmother also suggested that we pick Jamnagar as the venue. It also gives me an opportunity to celebrate with my colleagues, and the other people I work with,” Anant had revealed in a press conference. Talking about Anant Ambani he is the youngest child of Mukesh Ambani who is the Chairman of Reliance Industries and Nita Ambani is the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation. Nita Ambani's 'choti bahu' Radhika is the younger daughter of Viren Merchant who is the CEO of Encore Healthcare and Shaila Merchant is an entrepreneur.
