Baby On The Way! Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh Announce Pregnancy

Congratulations to the power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Earlier, today the couple confirmed the upcoming addition to their family. Yes! They are expecting their first child, and we cannot stop screaming. The baby is expected to arrive in September 2024. They took to Instagram to share the joyous news of their much-awaited parenthood. They posted a cute picture, coupled with emojis of folded hands and a nazar amulet in which the month was mentioned of the arrival of the little bundle of joy.

Speculations about DP hiding her baby bump gained attention when pictures from the 77th BAFTA Awards arrived, where she was a presenter. She was seen covering her midsection. Both Ranveer and Deepika shared the happy news respectively on their Instagram handles. They conveyed the message via an e-card that had balloons, baby clothes, lollipops, and booties in pastel hues. Once the 'Ram Leela' actress had shared her aspiration to begin a family. She revealed that both she and Ranveer adore kids and they are eagerly waiting for the moment when they can start their own family. It now looks like the statement has completely aligned with their latest pregnancy announcement.

Even Ranveer back in 2021 had revealed his aspirations for being a father in the next 2-3 years. Expressing his intention for parenthood, the actor revealed that he and Deepika used to discuss potential names for their future kid. Ranveer had also mentioned his desire to have a daughter as he adores the childhood pictures of the 'Fighter' actress and so wanted an equally charming daughter. Padukone and Singh got married in November 2018 at Lake Como, after being in a relationship for six years. It was on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic film ‘Ram Leela’, that the pair met. Their on-screen chemistry captivated the minds of audiences in Bhansali's epics 'Padmavaat’ and 'Bajirao Mastani'.

On the work front Deepika was last seen in aerial drama action film 'Fighter' opposite Hrithik Roshan which was successful at the box office. She will next appear in 'Kalki 2898 AD' opposite south star Prabhas. On the other side, Singh is prepared to take the lead role in 'Don 3', the third instalment of the epic 'Don' franchise, which was earlier led by Shah Rukh Khan. Kiara Advani has been casted opposite Ranveer, hence creating a lot of anticipation among fans. Deepika and Ranveer have also been among the top guests who have been invited to the pre-wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, which will take place from March 1 to March 3 in Jamnagar.
