1. Jhund
Amitabh Bachchan stars alongside Sairaat leads Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in this dramatic sports film by director Nagraj Manjule. Set in Nagpur, the story revolves around a retired sports teacher who transforms a bunch of underprivileged kids into disciplined football players to keep them away from drugs and criminal activities.

2. The Batman
The caped crusader is back in a new avatar. Directed by Matt Reeves, the franchise refresh is being touted as the darkest and the most violent cinematic outing – even darker than Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy. Starring Robert Pattison, The Batman is releasing in India in four languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

3. Toolsidas Junior
Starring late actor Rajiv Kapoor in the lead role, Toolsidas Junior is another sports-based film. It is a story of a snooker player who competes against a champion to show his son that he can become a champion. However, Toolsidas [Rajiv] loses the game and ends up heartbroken. His son then decides to take up snooker as a sport and become a champion himself. Does he succeed? You’ll have to watch the film to find out.

4. Etharkkum Thunindhavan
Etharkkum Thunindhavan is a Tamil film that stars Suriya and Priyanka Arul Mohan and, based on its trailer, the film revolves around a man [Suriya] who battles powerful men who believe that women are the ‘weaker sex’. Based on the trailer, this revenge thriller film will promise many intense action scenes. So, if you’re a fan of action and thrillers, this is a must-watch.

5. The Kashmir Files
The Kashmir Files traces the lives of the first-generation victims of the genocide of Kashmiri Pandit community in 1990. The film is created basis videos and interviews of the victims and attempts to bring it to life with the incredible cast that Vivek Agnihotri has put together. It features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar of Mary Kom fame.

6. Radhe Shyam
Indian cinema’s Baahubali, Prabhas stars alongside Pooja Hegde in Radhe Shyam, a multi-lingual film produced by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. This upcoming film is an epic love story that feels like a compilation of several classic fictional romance dramas.

7. James
Set to release on late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s birthday, James stars him opposite Priya Anand. It is an action drama that features Puneeth as a manager in a security company and traces his journey of fighting against the big bad guys. The film has been written and directed by Chethan Kumar.

8. Bachchhan Pandey
A budding director is asked to come up with a violent gangster film script that bears the potential to be a commercial hit. For this, she attempts to study the life of a real-life gangster and her research leads her to Bachchhan Pandey, a ruthless yet quirky gangster. While she secretly tries to study Bachchhan’s life, he catches her and what happens next is the primary plot of the film.

9. RRR
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR is one of the most much-awaited Telugu films of 2022. Starring Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt, this project promises incredible CGI, picturesque locations, impressive cinematography, and an array of patriotic scenes. It is a fictional story of two Indian revolutionaries who fought against the British and Nizam of Hyderabad.
