20 Years Later: Fans Get Veer-Zaara Vibes As Preity Zinta-SRK Attend IPL Matches

Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta were seen at the first matches of their respective IPL teams- Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings. The matches took place in Kolkata and Mullanpur. While the ‘Badshah of Bollywood’ SRK grabbed the headlines for his star-studded presence, a picture of Preity in a salwar kameez with her tresses falling over her face went viral. As soon as fans saw the picture of the ‘Veer Zaara’ pair, they called it a reunion of the timeless on-screen pair. It was in 2004, that SRK-Preity worked together in ‘Veer Zaara’. Fans became nostalgic, seeing their favourite on-screen couple together ‘distantly’ after 20 years.

Preity was trending on social media, because of the attire she wore for the match between her team Punjab Kings Vs Delhi Capitals. She had worn a red and white salwar suit with a colourful dupatta. The dimpled actress enhanced her look with a small bindi and left her flowy tresses open. Fans could not stop drawing parallels with her legendary character Zaara from the movie.

It is interesting to note that both SRK and Preity's team won in the IPL matches. A while ago, the actress had posted a throwback clip from her dance rehearsals with SRK. The video had the background song 'Tere Liye' from 'Veer Zaara' as both practiced their dance steps for an award event. Sharing the clip with the 'Veer-Zaara' song 'Tere Liye' the actress remembered, "This was us rehearsing for an award show.
