  • For Nacho Chips

    • 1 cup maize flour/makai atta

    • 1 cup water

    • 1 tsp salt

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)

    • 1 tsp turmeric powder (optional)

    • oil as required

  • For Cheese Sauce

    • 500 ml whole milk

    • 1 cup grated cheese

    • salt to taste

    • 1 tsp pepper

  • For Salsa

    • 2 tomatoes, chopped

    • 1 onion (large), chopped

    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

    • 1 tsp jalapeno, chopped

    • 1 tsp chilli sauce

    • 2 tbsp tomato puree

    • few sprigs of cilantro

  • For Sour Cream

    • 1 cup fresh cream

    • 1 cup hung curd

    • 2 tbsp lemon juice

    • salt

    • 1 tbsp chopped chives

    In a bowl add maize flour and maida, salt and turmeric (optional), oil and knead with water.

    Roll it thin and cook it on tava. Cut into desired shape and deep fry till golden brown and crispy.

    In a pan heat milk, add the cheese and let it boil till cheese is melted and sauce has reduced. Add salt and pepper.

    In a bowl add onions, tomato, lemon juice, chopped cilantro and jalapeno. Then add salt, chilli sauce and tomato puree. Mix well.

    Take a bowl and add a cup of cream and whisk on high speed, then add hung curd and stir it together.

    Pour the lemon juice, add some salt to taste and mix well. Add chopped chives.

    Place the tortilla chips in a plate and top it with cheese sauce, sour cream and salsa as per your choice.

Nachos is a traditional Mexican snack that is traditionally made with tortilla chips covered with melted cheese. With time, the toppings on the tortilla chips became more innovative and tastier. This Mexican origin dish has won people all over the globe with its taste and deliciousness.
