Kiara Advani married the love of her life Sidharth Malhotra in attendance of their family and close friends at the palatial Suryagarh, a luxury hotel in the heart of the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The Bollywood stars announced the good news via an Instagram post featuring pictures from their wedding ceremony and a filmy dialogue from their famous film ‘Shershaah’. "Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai. We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead," read their post caption. To no one's surprise, the celebrity duo looked stunning in their wedding looks.
We gave you all details about Sidharth and Kiara's wedding - from the guest list to the venue - and now it is time to decode Kiara's bridal look.
Kiara opted for a simple yet regal bridal look with tones of pastel pink and gold. And her makeup look was kept minimalistic to let her natural features shine.
Kiara's wedding outfit
Kiara's ensemble was designed by ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra. It took inspiration from the ancient city of Rome - one of Sidharth and Kiara's most-loved travel destinations. Ditching the traditional red, for her winter wedding, Kiara chose an old-rose pink lehenga featuring heavy embroidery and sequin work in light pink and gold. It was paired with a matching choli (blouse) and a sheer dupatta with soft pink, hot pink, and gold detailing at the border. The overall look of the outfit was enhanced with sparkly Swarovski crystals, revealed the designer's official Instagram page.
The Bollywood actor complemented her outfit with an assemblage of rare Zambian emerald and hand-cut diamond jewellery - also designed by Manish - including a maang teeka, a necklace and earrings set, a haathphool, and kadas. Her mangalsutra was a delicate piece of jewellery with a round diamond pendant and black beads.
Apart from those accessories, she also wore matching bangles (soft pink and white), and custom-made love story kaleerein by designer Mrinalini Chandra. The designer shared that Kiara's kaleerein featured an interesting selection of personalised motifs that are close to the celebrity couple. Think stars, the moon, their initials, butterflies, a thoughtful dedication to his beloved pet dog, their favourite destination, and important dates.
Another piece of jewellery that didn't go unnoticed in Kiara's bridal look was her engagement ring. It was a chunky diamond ring with an oval-shaped rock.
Kiara's bridal look
The Bollywood actor's bridal look exuded grace and charm, and the credit for that also goes to the soft glam makeup look created by makeup artist Swarnalekha Gupta and the traditional floral updo created by hair expert Amit Thakur. The makeup look accentuated her natural beauty instead of hiding her features with hard lines.
The radiant bride’s base was created using the soft sculpting/soft contouring technique that’s known to add a natural definition to one’s face. And that was topped off with soft rosy makeup on cheeks, eyelids, and lips. Other highlights of the look were brushed-up eyebrows and mascara lad eyelashes.
Amit added symmetry to Kiara’s face with a traditional bun decorated with fresh flowers. From the front, the hair was kept sleek with a middle partition.
Another detail one shouldn’t miss was the neutral manicure that complemented her rose pink and white bangles and kaleerein. For the uninitiated, such a manicure is one of the trends popularised by Instagram and is also known as ‘clean girl nails’.
Kiara finished off her bridal look with a small red bindi on her forehead and very little henna art on her hands.
