Crispy corn recipe ingredients

  1. 2 cups of frozen sweet corn
  2. 2 tbsp corn flour
  3. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  4. 2 tbsp rice flour
  5. 1 small, finely chopped onion
  6. 1 finely chopped green chilli
  7. 3 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  8. 2 tsp lemon juice
  9. Peri peri seasoning
  10. Black pepper powder
  11. Oil
  12. Salt to taste

Steps to prepare Barbeque Nation-style crispy corn

  1. Microwave the sweet corn for 1 minute, or alternatively boil the sweet corn for about 4 to 5 minutes. Then drain the corn completely. 
  2. Add salt and pepper to the corn and mix well.
  3. Add all-purpose flour and mix gently. 
  4. Place the seasoned corn in a sieve and shake till the excess flour is eliminated. 
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan, and add the corn in the oil when completely hot. 
  6. Fry the corn in the oil for 3 to 4 minutes till they turn golden and crispy. 
  7. Drain the fried corn in a sieve. 
  8. Add the seasonings for crispy corn masala, with lemon juice, onion, and coriander leaves and mix well.
  9. Serve hot.
