Many people all around India have come to adore these legendary eateries, so let’s find out what the hype is all about.

Tunday Kababi, Lucknow

If you're searching for a restaurant that can satisfy your cravings for precisely grilled meat in Indian flavours, Tunday Kababi is the perfect choice. This eatery serves a variety of kebabs, and it's not uncommon to see a queue out the door on busy weekends. If you're seeking an inexpensive, satisfying non-vegetarian supper, here is the place for you. Among our favourite picks here are the Mutton Tunday, Mutton Biryani, and Chicken Boti.

Karim's, Delhi

Karim's has been a mainstay in Delhi's Old City for nearly a century, providing delectable Mughlai cuisine. The storied korma at Karim's, prepared using recipes that have been handed down through many generations, showcases the vibrant culinary history of India's capital. The residents of Delhi have been taken care of by Karim's since the year 1913! In comparison to other eateries of its kind, it serves delicious and authentic Mughal cuisine. The Jama Masjid outlet (the best one, in fact) offers a sumptuous ambience and cuisine. Some of the highlights include Mutton Korma, Biryani, and Mutton Burra.

MTR, Bengaluru

One of the establishments famed for crispy and golden Masala Dosas is MTR in Bangaluru, which has been around since 1924. With tangy chutneys and aromatic sambar, MTR has captivated guests for years with its genuine tastes. Mavalli Tiffin Rooms, also known as MTR, has become synonymous with the tech city’s dining experiences, boasting of multiple locations. Established with the sole purpose of selling coffee and idlis, the menu has now expanded to encompass a wider variety of dishes. You may sit down with friends or get a fast lunch at this restaurant. Try the Masala Dosa, Filtered Coffee, and Badam Halwa—it will be one of the greatest meals you will enjoy in the city!

Britannia and Co, Mumbai

Travellers seeking Parsi cuisine should visit Britannia & Co., a renowned restaurant in Mumbai. With a history dating back to 1923, this restaurant is sure to transport you to a bygone era. The team creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to greet you. The Berry Pulao, Sali Boti, and Caramel Custard are some of the most famous Parsi delicacies, and we highly suggest them. Don’t forget to wash your meal down with a classic Raspberry Soda.

Trinca's, Kolkata

A Swiss couple named Trinca started the restaurant in 1939 and named it after themselves, and it has remained the same ever since! Cakes, pastries, bread, tea, and coffee were sold in the early years at Trinca's when it was a bakery and tea parlour. However, locals Om Prakash Puri and Ellis Joshua of Calcutta acquired it in the 1960s and turned it into a restaurant that featured world-class performances by live bands.

Sunday jam sessions at Trinca's got Kolkata's live music scene started, with acts like The Trojans, Biddu Appaiah, Beat Four, and the later-famous singer Usha Uthup. The third generation of the Puri family is running the show at this restaurant, which has become famous for its European fare (think Prawn Cocktail, Chicken Kiev, Lamb Lasagne and more) as well as its North Indian and Chinese offerings.
