6 Exercises That Have Helped Alia Bhatt Stay In Shape

​When not facing the camera, Bollywood actor and bride-to-be Alia Bhatt is busy mastering her fitness routine. The ‘GangubaiKathiawadi’ actor’s workout routine is a mix of strength, functional and high-intensity work. Here, we list five exercises that have helped Alia stay in shape over the past few years.

​Strength Training

​Multiple sets of deadlifts, elevated sumo squats, Jefferson curls, back squats, and wall sit calf raises are a part of Alia’s hardcore workout session as shared in a vlog on her YouTube page. These exercises are done to build strength and tone muscles.

​Cardio Training

​Reportedly, one of her favourite workouts is cardio, and Alia does 40 minutes of cardio every day. This is apart from the five-minute finisher – a combination of cardio exercises – that she does to conclude her strength/weight training.

​Yoga and meditation

​In the past year, Alia has often spoken about her love for yoga on Instagram. She’s being trained by celeb yoga trainer and influencer AnshukaParwani, and Alia occasionally shares pictures of her acing yogasanas. In this photo, she’s pulling off a deep backbend pose.


​Alia has learned pilates from celebrity trainer Yasmin Karachiwala for a brief period. This was around the time when she was shooting for 'Shaandaar' alongside Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor.

​Aerial Yoga

​Back in 2019, with her gym buddy and BFF Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, the bride-to-be also took aerial pilates lessons at Diva Yoga. It’s basically pilates but practiced on aerial silk or hammock.

​Alia is currently making headlines with her long-time beau Ranbir Kapoor. Rumours are that the celebrity duo will be tying the knot sometime next week. Pictures and videos of their rumoured wedding venue, RK Studios, being decked up with lights and decoration are making the rounds of the internet.
