Mud Coffee and Tea By Chef Smit Sagar

Ingredients

  • For Mud Coffee

    • balu sand

    • hot water as required

    • 1 1/2 tsp coffee powder

    • 100 ml milk

    • pinch of cinnamon powder

    • pinch of coffe powder

    • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • For Mud Coffee Garnish

    • cinnamon powder

    • coffee powder

  • For Mud Tea

    • water as required

    • 1 tbsp tea powder

    • 1 tsp ginger water

    • pinch of cardamom powder

    • 1 tbsp sugar

    • 70 ml milk

PREPARATION

    Heat sand in a big iron pot (Kadhai).

    Keep a steel container in the middle of the sand and pour hot water into it. Now add coffee powder and boil. Then add milk, cinnamon powder, coffee powder and vanilla essence and mix well.

    Roll the container slowly over the hot sand till the coffee boils. Remove the coffee in a kulhad, garnish with cinnamon powder and coffee powder and serve hot.

    For making Mud Tea, keep a steel container in the middle of the sand and pour water into it. Add tea powder, ginger water, cardamom powder and sugar and give it a boil.

    Add milk to it and roll the container slowly over the hot sand till the tea boils.

    Strain the tea in kulhad and serve hot.
