Randeep Hooda has been documenting his journey of getting into the role of playing freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar for the film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. In one of his latest Instagram updates, the actor dropped a photo of his shirtless self, showing off his physical transformation. Fans were quick to compare him to actor Christian Bale. In the mirror selfie posted by the actor, he is looking extremely thin. He is wearing oversized shorts and wrote a historical caption that read, "KAALA PAANI.” The actor underwent an epic transformation to essay the scenes in the movie that is around the cellular jail (Kaala Paani).
Fans compared him to Christian Bale. This was related to the Hollywood stars epic and extreme physical transformation for his iconic role in The Machinist. The actor is known for his dedication for undergoing great lengths to prepare for a character physically. Apart from calling Randeep Indian Christian Gale, the transformation of the actor was compared to his earlier role in Sarabjit. The actor had undergone a huge weight loss to portray the role who faces jail imprisonment.
Earlier, Randeep had also posted pictures of himself visiting a cell in Kalapani. For the unversed, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was imprisoned in the cellular jail. He also revealed that to understand what Sarvar underwent, for the biopic he locked himself inside the jail to feel what the freedom fighter endured. In the caption he had mentioned, "During the recce on his biopic, I tried to lock myself inside this cell to feel what he must have gone through. I couldn’t stay locked for even 20 minutes where he was locked for 11 years, often in solitary confinement".
