INGREDIENTS

  • For the Stuffing

    • 1 cup minced chicken

    • 1/4 cup chopped onion

    • 1 tbsp chopped ginger

    • 1 tsp chopped garlic

    • 1 tsp chopped green chilli

    • 1 tbsp chopped spring onion

    • 1 tbsp soy sauce

    • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

    • salt to taste

  • For the dough

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour

    • salt to taste

    • water as required

    • oil for frying

  • For Garnish

    • spring onion

    • tomato ketchup

PREPARATION

    In a mixing bowl, mix together minced chicken, onions, ginger, garlic, green chilli, spring onions, soy sauce, coriander leaves and salt.

    To make dough, in a mixing bowl mix together all-purpose flour, salt, oil and water. Make a soft dough.

    Roll the dough and cut it into two portions with the help of a katori.

    Spread the stuffing on one portion, apply some water on the edges and cover with the other rolled portion.

    Shape it like a gujiya and deep-fry in oil till it becomes golden brown.

    Cut the Shapale into half, garnish with spring onion and tomato ketchup.
