INGREDIENTS

  • For Stuffing

    • 2 cups jaggery

    • 2 tbsp chopped cashew nuts

    • 2 tbsp raisins

    • 2 tbsp chopped pistachios

    • 2 tbsp chironji

    • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts

    • 2 tbsp almond flakes

    • 1 tsp dry ginger powder

  • For the dough

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour

    • 2 tbsp ghee

    • 1 cup water

    • oil for frying

PREPARATION

    For stuffing, in a bowl, mix together jaggery, chopped cashews, chopped walnuts, chopped pistachios, raisins, chironji, almond flakes and dry ginger powder.

    Mix together all-purpose flour, ghee and water and knead a dough. Cover the dough with a wet muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 min.

    Roll the dough into a thin layer and cut circles using a round cutter.

    Apply water on it and add the prepared jaggery mixture.

    Fold and press it, give an impression with your fingers on the corners to make gujiya.

    Fry gujiyas on a low flame.
  7. 7

    Remove the gujiyas in a serving plate and serve.
