Ukdiche Modak Aajis recipe By Harshala Namasale

It's my grand mother's recipe where the filling of modak has a twist of health and immunity beneficiary food ingredients

INGREDIENTS

  • Rice flour
  • Jaggery
  • Grated dry coconut
  • Elaichi
  • Kesar
  • Pure ghee
  • Special ingredient is khas khas powder

PREPARATION

    Boil 4 glass of water.

    Add rice flour to the boiling water.
  3. 3

    Keep stirring until a nice dough forms.
  4. 4

    Remove and let it cool .
  5. 5

    Knead the dough with ghee and let it sit.
  6. 6

    In a pan add ghee.
  7. 7

    Add jaggery to it and melt it.
  8. 8

    Add grated coconut, elaichi to it.
  9. 9

    Mix it well and khas khas to it.
  10. 10

    Let it cool a little.
  11. 11

    Again knead a small amount of dough with ghee.
  12. 12

    Make balls of dough, flatten the balls .

    To the flattened dough put the filling of jaggery and make a dumpling.

    It shouldn't be perfect you can make it of any shape but make sure the dough covers the filling and is sticked all together.

    On the top of dumpling or modak put strands of kesar.

    Boil water in a vessel and place a stainless steel seive on top of the vessel.
  17. 17

    Arrange your dumplings with distance and cover the seive.
  18. 18

    Give your modaks nice steam.

    And your modaks are ready.
