Sattu Paratha By Azra Jabeen

Sattu is full of fibre, and essential nutrients like protein thus making this paratha a healthy dish.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 TSP Salt
  • 2 cups Roasted Gram Flour (Sattu)
  • 2 Onions , finely chopped
  • 3 Green Chillies , finely chopped
  • 6 cloves Garlic , finely chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger , finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoon Coriander (DhaniLeaves , chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard oil
  • 1 tablespoon Pickle Masala
  • 1/2 Tsp Carom Seed (Ajwain)
  • 1/2 Tsp Nigella Seed (Kalonji)
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION

    To Prepare dough, add flour in a bowl, add 1/2 tsp salt and required amount of water. Knead into a soft dough. Keep Aside.

    To prepare stuffing, add sattu in bowl.

    Next add onion, green chilli, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves, carom seed, nigella seed, lemon juice, salt, pickle masala and mustard oil.

    Add required amount of water and mix well so that stuffing becomes moist to fill easily.

    Take a portion and make balls of dough.

    Fill the stuffing and seal properly.

    Flatten the dough balls and roll into parathas.

    Place the rolled paratha on hot tawa and cook on both sides applying ghee.

    Serve with Roasted Tomato Chutney or Baingan ka Chokha.
