Sabudana Tarts By Ketan Mahajan

When it comes to Vrat recipes, usually boiled or fried items come in our minds. This baked Sabudana Tart is a unique and delicious way of serving the traditional vrat recipes.

INGREDIENTS

  • Soaked Sabudana 100 gm
  • Kuttu aata 100 gm
  • Boiled potatoes 2 medium size
  • Green chilly 1
  • Ginger 1 inch piece
  • Sendha namak
  • Groundnut oil 3- 4 tsp

PREPARATION

    Take a mixing bowl.

    Sieve kuttu aata.
  3. 3

    Add soaked sabudana.
  4. 4

    Add boiled potatoes.
  5. 5

    Add chopped green chillies and chopped ginger.
  6. 6

    Add sendha namak as per taste.
  7. 7

    Add groundnut oil.
  8. 8

    Mix all ingredients and knead into a dough.
  9. 9

    Rest dough for 10 mins.

    Roll the dough into half cm thick sheet and cut into circle shape.

    Now grease tart moulds with oil and place sabudana dough sheet in the tart mould pressing gently. Remove the excess dough coming out of the mould.

    Prick the tarts with the help of fork and place in a preheated oven at 180℃ for 20 mins.

    Remove tarts from the oven and add fillings. I used sabudana khichadi and Jeera aaloo as filling for 2 tarts.

    Top it with some cheese and bake for another 10 mins.

    Sabudana tarts are ready.

    Serve with mint and imli chutney.
