Millet Pancakes By Ria Singhvi

Everyone knows about the harmful effect of refined wheat flour (maida) on our body, so this is an attempt to create something more healthy, nutritious and rich in fibre with the use of millet flour. Also, it doesn't contain any artificial form of sugar.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 g Millet flour
  • 40 ml Milk (room temperature)
  • 45 g chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

PREPARATION

    Take a mixing bowl and add all the dry ingredients (millet flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon powder).

    Now add mashed banana, vanilla essence and honey and mix.

    Slowly start adding milk and make batter by gently folding it.

    At last, add chopped dark chocolate and keep it aside for 10 minutes for resting.

    Until then, preheat the pan at medium flame and grease it with little amount of butter.

    Scoop out the batter and pour it in the pan.

    Leave the pancakes to spread on its own and cook for few minutes until bubble starts to form.

    Flip the pancakes and cook for 2 minutes at medium flame.

    Serve the pancakes with any toppings like seasonal fruits, maple syrup or scoop of ice cream.
