INGREDIENTS

  • Vspice blend (2 tbsp)
  • 5 to 6 button red chilies
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 2 cup fresh yogurt
  • 3/4 cup diced cucumber- 110 gm
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrot- 41 gm
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped salad leaves (any of choice)- 70 gms
  • 1 small tomato- 80 gm
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder or freshly crushed

PREPARATION

    In a pan, dry roast spices in the spice blend.

    Dry roast at medium flame, stirring around occasionally.
  3. 3

    When your flax seeds start "jumping' turm off the flame and all allow the blend to cool down.
  4. 4

    Grind it and save it in a jar.
  5. 5

    Add 2 tbsp of the spice blend in a bowl along with all the other ingredients.

    Toss everything around to mix it well.

    Add about 1/2 cup of water if you want a thinner consistency of the raita.
