GULAB JAMUN-INDIAN FUSION CAKE By SHEIKH MOHAMMED NAAZIL

Gulab jamun is the quintessential Indian dessert. Soft, fried dough balls dipped in a sugary sweet syrup. The Cake is layered with Almonds, Pistachios, Rasins and Gulab Jamun Slices. The filling used is of Almond and Pistachio flavor and garnished with dried rose petals giving a rich look and taste

Serves10-15(depends upon the quantity or size of the cake)

Cooking Time30 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • Any Vanilla or Cardamom or postachio flavoured Cake Sponge (veg and non veg works)
  • 10-12 Gulab Jamuns
  • Sliced Almonds, Pistachios and Raisins
  • Dried Rose Petals for Garnishing
  • Whipped Cream
  • Vanilla or Cardamom or postachio essense
  • Milk to soak

PREPARATION

    Slice the cake into 2-3 layes.
  2. 2

    Soak a layer with milk mix (milk and almond essense and sugar mixed).
  3. 3

    Add a thin layer of postachio or cardamom or almond flavored whipped cream.
  4. 4

    Layer with chopped nuts, gulab jamun slices .
  5. 5

    And a nice and thick layer of whipped cream .
  6. 6

    Add another layer and repeat the same.

    Coat the entire cake with whipped cream .
  8. 8

    Using your piping skills, decorate the cake as per your choice.

    Add reasonable amount of gulab jamuns on top layer.
  10. 10

    Garnish with chopped nuts and dried rose petals.
