INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup chana dal,
  • 1/2 cup rice,
  • 1/2 cup urad dal,
  • taste to salt,
  • 3 sp fresh curd,
  • 1 sp sugar,
  • 2 sp red chili powder,
  • 4sp oil,
  • 1/2 sp mustard seeds,
  • 1/4 sp lemon juice,
  • 1/4 sp turmeric,
  • 1/2 sp fruit salt, .
  • 1 sp sesame seeds,
  • a pinch of asafoetida,
  • 4 to 5cury leaves

PREPARATION

    soak a chana dal, rice, urad dal for 6-8 hours.

    grind the rice, chana dal, urad dal in a mixture grinder add water as required and make kakadu batter.

    cover and let the batter ferment for 5-6 hours. Once the batter is fermented add curd, salt, sugar, turmeric mix well. dhokla.

    Heat your steamer and grease your plate.

    just before steaming heat oil in a nonstick pan and add fruit salt add in a better immediately add lemon juice in a better mix well.

    pour the better in that. top it with red chili powder.

    allow it to cook in a steamer for 6-8 mins.

    Turm off the flame and check if done.

    Heat the oil in a nonstick pan and add the mustard seeds, sesame seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and saute on a medium flame for 30 seconds.

    Apply evenly on dhokla.
