Choco Heaven Cake By Hetvi Chheda

Moist, delicious chocolate cake for any celebration.

Serves6 - 8

Cooking Time1 + 1/2 Hour

INGREDIENTS

  • Maida 1 + 1/4 cup
  • Cocoa powder 1/4 cup
  • Butter 1/2 cup
  • Powered sugar 1 + 1/4 cup
  • Milk 1 + 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Coffee powder 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder 3/4 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Cream 150 ml
  • Chopped chocolate 150 grams for ganache
  • Whipping cream 250 ml
  • Chopped chocolate 125 grams for mousse
  • Oreo Biscuit 2 pkt
  • Condensed Milk 40-50 ml

PREPARATION

    In a bowl add lemon juice in milk stir and leave for 5 to 7 mins.

    In a mixing bowl add room temperature butter and beat it with electric beater till butter is soft and fluffy .

    Add powdered sugar and beat for 3 to 4 mins and make sure there are no lumps.

    Take a bowl and seive all dry ingredients i.e maida, baking powder, baking soda, coffee, cocoa powder.

    Add the dry mixture to the butter and sugar mixture and mix it.

    Add milk and lemon to the mixture, mix well and beat for 2 to 3 mins.

    Take a cake tin, grease it with butter and add the cake mix to the tin.

    Place it in a pre heated Cooker or oven.

    In oven at 160 to 180 degree for 30 to 35 mins In cooker for 35 mins to 40 mins on low to medium flame * Note the temperature and time may vary a bit according to your oven.

    Method for Ganache - 1 - Add cream in a pan and let it simmer on low to medium flame 2- Add chopped chocolate and off the flame and mix till there are no lumps 3 - cool the ganache for 10 to 15 mins in fridge.

    Method for Mousse 1- Beat whipping cream well till peaks are there 2- Melt the chocolate and let it cool and then add it in the whipping cream. I have made chocolate cake balls and covered it in chocolate and some chocolate decor using bubble wrap.

    Method for Chocolate Balls 1- Crush the biscuit and mix with condensed milk and form a dough. 2- cover it with chocolate and set it in fridge for 15 to 20 mins.
