Baked Charcoal Samosa By Sree Vaishnavi Sadhu

Usually we will see aloo samosas,onion samosa,corn samosa which are deep fried.So I am samosa differently which is healthy,Diabetic friendly,and unique and tasty

Serves4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 1)2 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2)chopped 2 tablespoons of cashew nuts
  • 3)1/2 teaspoon jeera
  • 4)2 teaspoons finely chopped green chilli
  • 5)1/2 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 7)1 teaspoon amchur powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 9)1/2 teaspoon red chilli power
  • 11 cup boiled and chopped raw banana pieces
  • 12 tablespoons finely chopped coriander
  • 1salt to taste
  • 11/2 cup soya flour
  • 11/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1A pinch of ajwain
  • 1water
  • 11/2 table spoon edible charcoal powder

PREPARATION

    STEP 1: In a pan add oil and let the oil heat.

    STEP 2: Now add chopped kaju,green chilli,ginger and fry well.
  3. 3

    STEP 3:Now add turmeric,salt,garam masala,amchur power ,red chilli power and fry for few seconds.

    STEP 4:Now add boiled chopped raw banana and mix well.
  5. 5

    STEP 5:once it is mixed well add chopped coriander and mix well and let it cool down.

    STEP 6:Now take a bowl and add 1/2 cup soya flour+1/2 cup wheat flour and mix well.

    STEP 7:Now add salt,ajwain,oil and mix well.

    STEP 8: Mix well until it holds shape.

    STEP 9:Now add edible charcoal powder and mix well once again.

    STEP 10:now add sufficient water and make a soft dough and apply some oil on top an cover it with a damp cloth and rest it for 10 minutes.

    STEP 11:divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll out one portion.

    STEP 12:Cut this in the middle into two parts and make a cone.

    STEP 13:Fill the stuffing and seal the edges with water or wheat flour slurry.

    STEP 14:Make all samosa like this and brush with oil.

    STEP 15:Preheat the oven at 180C for 3 minutes.

    STEP 16:After that take out the plate And place the samosa on plate.

    STEP 17:Now bake it for 8-9 minutes until it slightly changes colour and turns crispy.
