Gir National Park, spread across 1412 sq km in Gujarat, is home to the majestic Asiatic lions. Rannvijay Singha visits the park to see these lions and meets women forest rangers who observe, protect and help the Asiatic lions when necessary.
Rannvijay Singha visits the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, a world heritage site. This park is spread across the plains of River Bramhaputra, and its big five comprises the eastern swamp deer, wild water buffalo, the greater one-horned rhino, royal Bengal tiger, and elephant.
Established in 1936, Jim Corbett National Park is spread across 520 sq km. It's home to tigers, leopards, wild elephants and hundreds of species of birds. Rannvijay Singha meets wildlife photographer Shivang Mehta, who tells him about animal behaviour and habitats.
Located in Goa, Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary is spread across 211 sq km and is home to many rare species of animals, birds and insects. Rannvijay Singha meets Parag Rangnekar, a naturalist, who takes him on a trek through the sanctuary.
