Fans have been eagerly awaiting the Vijay-Rashmika wedding pictures for nearly a decade, and it's undeniable that they were truly worth the wait (in gold, of course)
The actors who have portrayed a romantic pair in Telugu films like Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam have finally tied the knot in real life. Earlier today, in accordance with traditional Telugu ceremonies, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda exchanged wedding vows at ITC Mementos in Udaipur. The Kodava custom calls for a second ceremony that takes place later that day for the happy couple.

Before we get to the outfit, we are simply mesmerised by the jewellery! Her temple jewels were the perfect complement to the lovely orangish-red drape. Goddess Lakshmi, peacocks, and floral carvings are some of the famous motifs found in this traditional jewellery from South India. Her wedding jewellery began with a chunky golden choker that had a bold circular pendant; she then layered it with long, slim chains. Traditional jhumkas, ornaments made of golden chains and fastened on the back of the head, complemented her attire.
The bride wore a kada and a stack of golden bangles that seemed to have stepped out of an opulent period film set. The kadas supposedly belonged to the groom's family, and the bride also had traditional red stacks. A beautiful elbow cuff with tiny beaded chains, Rashmika's trendy engagement ring, and a succession of classic gold ones rounded out the jewellery display. The hath phool had a floral theme, which went perfectly with her spring-themed orange silk saree! She is wearing a beautiful orange silk saree with intricate gold zari embroidery that makes her look both royal and radiant. The saree’s broad gold border and detailed motifs add depth and texture, elevating the traditional drape into something truly ceremonial. A soft gold dupatta trails gracefully behind, balancing the vibrancy of the orange with a muted elegance.

If you thought Rashmika's outfit was mesmerising, Vijay Deverakonda's gold ensemble will leave you in awe. Instead of the usual minimalist diamond chain and brooch worn by famous grooms, he sat bare-chested, accessorising with a long temple-style layer of snake-chain necklace, matching ear earrings, and a handcuff drenched in gold that evoked a warrior. He commanded attention with his engagement ring and another gold ring. Embellished in gold, surrounded by love, the pair tied the knot in Rajasthan with all the pomp and circumstance befitting a royal marriage.
Their jewellery pieces complement one another and convey an elegant tale of harmony, tradition, and understated opulence. Most importantly, though, it narrates the story of their rich, combined South Indian culture, which was both dazzling and grounded.
