Shakira’s concert in India

The wait is finally over as Shakira’s India tour officially returns to the country after nearly two decades to headline the Feeding India Concert 2026. Presented by HSBC and organised by District by Zomato, this historic tour marks the first time that such an initiative has been adopted on a multi-city format, with performances scheduled at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on April 10, 2026 and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on April 15, 2026.

Beyond the high energy choreography, and hits like Hips Don't Lie and Waka Waka, witnessing Shakira live in India also serves as a powerful social mission to combat child malnutrition and support the UN’s Zero Hunger goal. Shakira’s homecoming concert makes for a full circle moment for the Colombian superstar, who last captivated Indian audiences during her 2007 Oral Fixation tour, and this event further cements India’s status as a premier destination for world class entertainment.

Music for a cause

Beyond the electrifying choreography and global hits, Shakira’s return to India is fueled by a powerful humanitarian mission. The Feeding India Concert 2026 is a community driven initiative that is organised by Zomato’s non-profit, Feeding India, aimed at accelerating progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030.

The concert serves as a massive platform to amplify the national dialogue around child malnutrition and hunger. For Shakira, this partnership is a natural extension of her lifelong commitment to philanthropy. Through her own Barefoot Foundation, she has spent decades advocating for the education and nutrition of vulnerable children globally.

Shakira has expressed her excitement about the purpose-led tour, stating:

“Performing in India has always been special to me, and I'm excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi. The Feeding India Concert is about more than music; it's about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive."

Why Shakira’s concert is a big deal for India’s music scene

Shakira’s return is a seismic event for India’s music industry, signalling the country’s emergence as a top-tier destination for the world’s biggest stadium scale tours. Arriving just as the concert economy reaches a record high, with 2026 already seeing major shows from Kanye West, Linkin Park, and Calvin Harris, her two-city tour proves that India is no longer just a one-off stop, but a core market for global superstars.

For the Indian music scene, Shakira’s presence is a powerful validation of its growing economic and cultural influence on the global stage.
