WOOD APPLE CHUTNEY By Nandini Shah

Is is a winter special chutney made with very few ingredients. It is sweet, spicy and sour chutney. it can be eaten with farsans n with roti, in winter it is eaten with UNDHIYU in gujarat. It has lot of medicinal value. Wood apple pulp has potent antioxidants and is a natural antimicrobial agent. Wood apple tree leaves are also very useful.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 wood apple
  • 1 bunch of green coriander
  • 2 spoon of roasted jeera powder
  • 2-3 green chillies or as per your taste
  • 2 spoon of grated jaggery
  • 2-3 garlic cloves its optional1
  • 1 spoon salt or as per your taste
  • water if required

PREPARATION

    Remove pulp of wood apple in a bowl.
  2. 2

    Chop roughly coriander , chillies and garlic .
  3. 3

    Take a chutney mixer jar add all ingredients to it and grind it.
  4. 4

    Add water if required bring it to a chutney consistency.
