Ingredients

  • Sukku Malli Coffee

    • 2 tsp coriander seeds

    • 1 tsp black peppercorns

    • 1 tsp black peppercorns

    • 2 tsp dry ginger powder

    • 2 tsp dry ginger powder

    • 2 cardamom

    • 1 tsp sugar

  • For Thenga Manga Pattani Sundal

    • 2 tsp sesame oil

    • 2 tsp mustard seeds

    • 1 tsp black gram

    • 1/2 tsp asafetida

    • 1 green chilli

    • 1 cup boiled white peas

    • 1/2 cup grated coconut

    • 1/2 cup grated raw mango

    • curry leaves

    • salt to taste

PREPARATION

    Heat a pan, add 1 tsp cumin seed, 2 cloves, 2 cardamoms, 1 tsp black peppercorns and 2 tsp coriander seeds and roast until aromatic.

    Add dry ginger powder to the mixture, grind all the ingredients together into a smooth powder.

    Heat a cup of water along with a teaspoon of the powder. Bring it to a boil.

    Once it comes to a boil, remove from heat and mix in a teaspoon of jaggery, honey or sugar. Serve hot.

    Heat oil in pan and temper with mustard seeds, black gram, asafoetida, chopped green chilli, grated coconut and curry leaves, and saute.

    Then add grated raw mango, salt and boiled peas. Mix well and serve hot.
