INGREDIENTS

  • For Kothimbir Vadi

    • 2 cups coriander

    • 2 cups water

    • 1 cup besan (gram flour)

    • 1 tbsp rice flour

    • 2 tbsp chopped peanuts (roasted & peeled)

    • 1 tbsp curd

    • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)

    • 1 tsp green chilli paste

    • a pinch of turmeric powder

    • salt to taste

    • oil for frying

PREPARATION

    Sieve besan and rice flour together in a bowl. Add chopped coriander leaves to it.

    Add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, crushed coriander seeds, add crushed roasted peanuts, ajwain, crushed ginger, crushed garlic, and crushed green chilli.

    Now add a spoonful of curd and tamarind water. Pour some oil and mix well.

    Add pinch of baking soda and mix well.

    Line the batter into the tin and place in the steamer.
  6. 6

    Once cooked, take out of the tin and let it cool down.

    Cut it down into pieces.

    Deep fry the pieces until golden brown.
  9. 9

    Serve with green chutney.
