Take a parat and sieve together maida, baking powder and baking soda.

Make a well in the center and add salt, egg, milk and oil and water as required to knead a semi-hard dough.

Cover the dough with a wet muslin cloth for about 15 min.

After 15 min, dust the platform with maida and make small balls of the dough and roll out a round roti.

Cut this roti into 4 equal parts.

Take one part, apply water on the edges and pinch from one side and fold it over the other side, crimpling edges together so that it resembles elephant ear.

Fry these elephant ears or gosh-e-fils till crisp and golden brown. Transfer to a plate.

Dust the deep-fried elephant ears with icing sugar, garnish with pistachios powder and serve.
