INGREDIENTS

  • For Bijora

    • 1 cup soaked urad dal

    • salt

    • 1 tbsp grated ginger

    • 1 tsp asafoetida

    • 1 tsp red chilli powder

    • 1 cup sesame seeds

    • 2-3 tbsp grated white pumpkin

    • 2 tbsp melon seeds

    • ½ tsp baking soda

    • oil

PREPARATION

    Grind the soaked urad dal with water in a mixer. Prepare a thick paste of it.

    Remove this thick paste in a bowl and add salt, grated ginger, asafoetida, red chilli powder, and sesame seeds.

    Remove water from the grated white pumpkin and mix this with other ingredients in the bowl.

    Add melon seeds, baking soda and some more sesame seeds to the mixture and mix well.

    Next, take a ring and plastic sheet and apply oil on both. Now make the bijora on the plastic sheet by giving them shape of the ring.

    Sprinkle some sesame seeds and keep the bijora to dry in the sun for 7 days.

    Fry till golden brown to serve.
