Vanilla sponge By Soumya Chawla

Freshly baked at home without any preservatives

Serves6-8

Cooking Time60 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 100gm of vegetable oil
  • 200gm of condensed milk
  • 240ml milk
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 100gm of powdered sugar
  • 180gms of maida
  • 12gms of cornflour
  • 1&1/2 tsp of double action baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp of baking soda
  • 2 tsp of white vinegar

PREPARATION

    In a mixing bowl, add oil, condensed milk, powdered sugar & vanilla extract. Using a hand blender mix it for one minute.

    Once mixed properly add half of the room temperature milk & whisk it again.
  3. 3

    Using a sieve, sift all your dry ingredients to wet ingredients.

    Mix dry & wet ingredients slowly.
  5. 5

    Add remaining milk and make a flowing consistency.
  6. 6

    Add vinegar and mix.
  7. 7

    Bake at a preheated oven at 160C for 25-30 minutes.

    Cool it down.

    Decorate it with whipped cream & chocolates.
