INGREDIENTS

  • semolina ( rava suji.)
  • Water
  • Oil aur ghee
  • Mustard seeds
  • Udad daal
  • Chana daal
  • Carry leaves
  • Green chillies
  • Ginger
  • Onions
  • Mixed vegetables.(carrots peas etc)
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Lemon juice (optional)
  • Coriander leaves for garnishnish

PREPARATION

    Roast simolina in a pan until it turns goldan brown.until it toons golden brown.
  2. 2

    In a separate pan ,heat oil add mustard seeds,urad dal, and chana dal let them splutter.

    Add curry leaves green chillies and Ginger .saute for a minute.
  4. 4

    Add chopped onions and cook until they turn translucent.
  5. 5

    And mixed vegetables turmeric powder and salt cook for a few minutes .
  6. 6

    Pour water into the mixture and bring it to a boil.
  7. 7

    Gradually add the rosted simolina stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  8. 8

    Cook until the upma thicknes and reaches the desired consistency.

    Garnish with coriander leaves and a dash of lemon juice if desired.
