Tutti frutti biscuit By Neha Goyal

Karachi Biscuit is one of the most famous treats of Hyderabad. Each bite of this biscuit fills your mouth with an amazing fruity sweetness. It's favorite since childhood. So here I am sharing recipe of these light, airy and crisp homemade biscuits fresh out of oven and these are hit for evening tea.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 cup powder sugar
  • 2 drops vanilla essence
  • 2 Pinches of baking powder
  • 1/4 cup Tutti frutti
  • 2 tbsp custard powder
  • 1 cup Plain flour / Maida
  • 2 tbsp warm milk

PREPARATION

    In a bowl mix butter and sugar till light and airy.

    Add Tutti Frutti, Vanilla essence, Custard powder and mix well.

    Add the plain flour/maida, baking powder and knead into a soft dough using milk.

    Make a cylindrical log, wrap in cling film& refrigerate for an hour.

    Open the cling wrap and in slices with the help of a sharp knife.

    Arrange the biscuits on a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Cool completely and store in an air tight container.
