Surati sweet Ghari By Krupa vaidya

Inside sweet mava filing

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup maida
  • 2 TSP ghee
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Ghee to deep fry
  • 1/2 cup pistachio and almonds to small chop
  • 150 gms mava/ khoya
  • 1 TSP besan/ gram flour
  • 1/2 TSP elaichi
  • 1/2 TSP ghee
  • 100 gms powered sugar
  • 6 TSP ghee
  • 2 TSP powered suger
  • Some chop pistachio and almonds garnished

PREPARATION

    For outer layer of Ghari .

    In a mixing bowl, add maida, a tbsp of ghee and water all mix the dough similar to Paratha dough .

    Keep the dough covered and let it rest for 10 minutes meanwhile we can prepare the stuffing for ghari.

    For Ghari stuffing .
  5. 5

    Heat a frying pan in 1 tesp ghee and add besan to cook 2 min after add mava /khoya to cook midium flem 6-8 minutes and gas off and cool down mava /khoya filing .

    Now cool to mava/ khoya in add chopped small size almonds and pistachio you can add Kesar as you like and elachi power, powered sugar and all mix together.

    Take a maida dough and roll small chapti.

    Take a small steel bowl and put the stuffing and press it properly so that it set well .

    Very gently place in this stuffing between the rolled chapati and cover it with chapati from all sides, in case of excess dough you can discard it and use it while making next one .

    Similarly assemble the remaining gharis.

    Heat ghee in frying pan .

    Take a big frying spoon, place in one ghari at a time on the frying spoon, hold it with one hand and take another spoon and pour in hot ghee on the ghari. Traditionally ghari are fried like this.

    Fry all the ghari in similar method and let it cool down for 10 minutes .

    Take all the fried ghari in one plate and pour in ghee with help of spoon .

    After adding ghee, put some of the dry fruits of your choice for garnishing .

    Rest the Ghari 2-3 hours in refrigerator .

    If you like ghee so after 2-3 hours you can skip adding ghee and agin rest to in refrigerator .

    Ghari is ready to be served, enjoy it with spicy hot farsan mix.
