This beverage, when made with thick curd, is a complete meal in itself. Raagi floods you with lots of energy and the cooling characteristic of churned curd or buttermilk will not only refresh you with good protein and probiotics but also boost your immunity power to beat the heat of the summer.
200ml churned organic curd or 250ml organic buttermilk
1 Big Onion, finely chopped
2-3 sprigs of Curry Leaves, chopped
Fresh Coriander or Basil Leaves, finely chopped
Salt, to taste
Pinch of Pepper Powder (optional)
PREPARATION

Boil water with some salt and pepper.

In a cup mix ragi flour with a cup of normal water without any lumps.

Add this ragi flour to the boiling water, lower the flame, and keep stirring the mixture until a thick batter-like consistency is obtained without any lumps.

Remove from stove and cool completely.

Add churned chilled curd or buttermilk to the cooked and cooled ragi mixture and churn again with a manual churner.

Pour into a glass, add or garnish a generous amount of finely chopped onions, basil, curry, or coriander, and serve immediately.
