Papaya Pickle (Oil free) By Ruhi Shaikh

Pickle without oil

INGREDIENTS

  • Hard but not ripped Papaya 250g
  • Green chillies 50g
  • Medium size onion 250g
  • Mustard 50g
  • Tumeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Vinigar 1 1/2 cup
  • Salt and sugar according to your taste

PREPARATION

    Prepare a mustard paste in a grinder using little water salt and turmeric.

    Wash and slit green chillies.
  3. 3

    Peel and wash onion .
  4. 4

    Cut the peel and washed papaya into long strips .
  5. 5

    First boil the papaya in salt and turmeric in half of vinigar. Let it cool .
  6. 6

    Same way then boil green chillies and onion. Let it cool.
  7. 7

    Now take a kadhai mix 2-3 tbsp of mustard paste chilly powder salt and sugar in remaining vinigar.

    Now add all the ingredients which is boiled and cool in it.

    Give it a nice mix and store in a glass jar or daily pots.
