Papaya Pickle (no oil recipe) By Agnes Hussain

Pickle without oil

INGREDIENTS

  • Hard but not ripped papaya 250g
  • Green chillies 50g
  • Medium size onion 250g
  • Mustard paste 2-3tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Chilly powder 1tsp
  • Vinigar 1 1/2cup
  • Salt and sugar as per your taste

PREPARATION

    Wash and slit green chillies.

    Peel and wash onion.
  3. 3

    Cut peel and washed papaya into long strips.
  4. 4

    First boil papaya salt and turmeric into half of vinigar. Once soften remove and keep aside to cool.

    Then boil green chillies and onion in the same. Let it cool.
  6. 6

    Now take a kadhai and mix Mustard paste salt sugar in remaining vinigar.
  7. 7

    Now add boiled and cooled ingredients in it and give it a nice mix.

    Lastly store in a glass jar or daily pot as you wish.
