Moong Dal Delite/Yellow lentils By Sakshi Lodhi

Moong dal is rich in protein and fiber, which makes moong dal halwa very tasty in sweets. Eating halwa in winter has its own pleasure.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup yellow moong dal / yellow Lentils
  • 1/2 Cup mava
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 2 Cup milk
  • 7-8 saffron thread
  • 2 cup pure Desi ghee
  • 1 cup dry fruits chopped like (almonds, pistachios, cashew)

PREPARATION

    Wash and soak dal 4-5 hours. Grind.

    Heat a heavy bottam kadai. Put ghee heat than add grind daal.
  3. 3

    Rosted at Medium slow flame.
  4. 4

    Roasted.batter leave sides of kadai.add milk cook and stir continuously.
  5. 5

    Add sugar,green cardamom powder, mix well add saffron.
  6. 6

    Milk reduce.. batter thick add dry fruits..mix well.as required.

    Ready to Serve.
