Lentil Bread By Nilanjana Bhattacharjee Mitra

Protein rich lentil bread .. it's made with red lentil which is tasty and healthy too ..Ii goes best with morning Tea ..Lentil bread fulfill your healthy protein requirements as well as serve you great taste ..

Serves3-4

INGREDIENTS

  • All purpose flour - 11/2cup
  • Whole wheat flour -- 1/2 cup
  • Red lentil without skin - 1/4 cuo
  • Tumeric powder- 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • White oil - 1/4 cup
  • Instant yeast -- 1 tsp

PREPARATION

    Boil red lentil with tumeric , salt and 2 tsp oil .

    Keep aside cooked dal , let it cool completely.
  3. 3

    Grind cooked dal to make a paste.
  4. 4

    Take a bowl , add warm water , 1 tbsp sugar and instant yeast .Mix well .

    Add APFlour , WWFlour , 1/4 tsp salt .
  6. 6

    Now add red lentil paste .
  7. 7

    Mix well to knead a soft dough.
  8. 8

    Keep kneading dough on flat surface.

    Add 1 tbsp of 1/4 cup oil in regular intervals of kneading.

    Knead dough until it looks smooth and shiny.

    Oiled a big bowl .

    Placed kneaded dough , cover it with cloth or cling film.

    Keep it in a warm place for 1 hr to rise double.

    After 1 hr punch dough and knead for 1 Or 2 mins.

    Place lentil bread dough into a greased bread tin.

    Now keep it in a warm place for 40mins to rise .

    Pre heat oven on 180c for 10 minutes.

    After 40 mins , keep bread into the hot oven.

    Bake on 180c for 35- 40 minutes.

    After 40 minutes of baking ,take bread tin from oven.

    Brush bread with butter .

    Cover bread with cloth 15 - 20 mins.

    Now soft lentil bread is ready to serve.
