No festivals are completed without sweets. So this Diwali try the easiest Instant Jalebi recipe and get complements from your guests.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Maida
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 2 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • A few Saffron threads
  • 1/2 tsp Orange food colour
  • Pistachios for garnish

PREPARATION

    Mix curd maida and cornflour.

    Add baking powder and orange food colour and mix well to make a thick batter.
  3. 3

    Keep this batter aside for 20 minutes.

    Make sugar syrup from sugar and water.
  5. 5

    Add saffron threads, cardamom powder and rose essence in sugar syrup.

    Heat ghee in a pan, fill batter in a bottle and make a small hole in lid.

    Make pattern from batter in hot oil and fry till crisp.
  8. 8

    Soak fried jalebi in warm sugar syrup for 2-3 minutes and then remove.

    Garnish with pistachios and enjoy.
