Healthy Millet Besan Cheela By Mayur Panchamia

Cheela is a famous Indian dish made with besan. Specially made in festivity days. Directions: Mix all the ingredients well. Make a thick batter of pouring consistency with water. Heat a pan on medium heat, pour a ladle full and enjoy.

INGREDIENTS

  • Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup Jowar flour or can be substituted by Ragi.
  • 1/2 Cup Gram Flour/besan
  • (Optional - 1/2 Cup Grated Cucumber,
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Amaranth leaves/araikeerai ( Can use any leafy vegetable),
  • Any bell peppers, tomat
  • 2 Chopped Green Chillies
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 8 Chopped Curry Leaves
  • 1/8 Tsp Asafoetida
  • Any other masala you want to add - pav bhaji, garam, chole... Any varient can be used..

PREPARATION

    Mix all the ingredients well. Make a thick batter of pouring consistency with water. Heat a pan on medium heat, pour a ladle full of batter and spread. Cook with oil. Once done, flip and cook the other side. Serve healthy chilas with preservative free tomato ketchup or curd or any chutney from tomato to green, from coconut to podi. Can be added - almonds, quinoa, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, peanuts. Chiily flakes! Olives! Oregano! Jalapeños Cooking time - around 15 mins. Serves - 2.
