INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup gram flour/besan
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 3 tbsp melted ghee
  • Warm water as required to knead dough
  • Cooking oil for deep frying

PREPARATION

    Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl except cooking oil and water.

    Knead a soft dough with warm water.
  3. 3

    Let it rest for 15 minutes.

    Add it to chakli maker machine and make round chaklis.
  5. 5

    Heat the cooking oil in kadhai.
  6. 6

    Once hot, keep the flame on medium and fry the chaklis till golden brown and crisp.
