Caramel Apple Coffee Cake By Lakshya Jadwani

As the name of recipe is self explanatory that it includes apple slices tossed in butter , caramelized topping & coffee color presentation.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 big apples
  • 500 gms butter
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup caramel
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 250ml milk

PREPARATION

    In a pan , add 4 butter cubes and then add apple slices and toss it until light brown color.

    Next, In a mixing bowl , add 1 cup of flour, 1 cup walnuts, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2tbsp salt and mix it well to give crunchy & dry look & put it aside.

    Now , in another mixing bowl , add 2 cups flour , 1tbsp baking powder, 1/2tbsp salt, 1 cup sugar mix it well.

    Now add liquid ingredients into the same bowl like 3 eggs, milk, 1tbsp vanilla essence and then mix it well.( Used milk for consistency purpose).

    I used hand whisker to mix it well in order to avoid lumps.

    When it turns into light brown batter.

    Pre heat oven to 150°C for 10 minutes and grease the aluminum bowl with butter.

    Then comes layering, first layer of batter, second layer butter tossed apple & pour caramel sauce on it, then third layer of crunchy dry mixture.

    Now, put it in the oven at 250°C for 30 minutes.

    Then easily take it out from the bowl.

    Now, dress it with caramel sauce.
