Melt-in-your-mouth cookies with minimal ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

  • Butter, unsalted - 1/2 cup (100 g)
  • Sugar, powdered - 1/4 cup (50 g ) (before powdering)
  • Egg - 1
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp (3 g approx)
  • Maida - 1 cup (130 g)
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp (1.5 g approx)
  • Salt - a pinch

PREPARATION

    Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius. Line a baking tray with butter paper .

    Combine softened butter and sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric beater or wire whisk until creamy.

    Add egg and vanilla and mix until combined.

    Sift in maida, baking powder and salt.
  5. 5

    Combine the ingredients to form a dough. Do not knead.
  6. 6

    Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool completely on wire racks.
